The Crown of Carolina was founded on the belief that pageantry is about far more than a crown, a sash, or a title — it is about developing confident leaders who live with purpose, serve others, and make a lasting impact.
At the heart of our organization are the Four C’s: Community, Compassion, Character, and Courage. These values guide everything we do as we create a platform where individuals can grow in confidence, leadership, and service both on and off the stage.
The Crown of Carolina was founded by Lisa Lutz, whose extensive background in pageantry and service is the foundation of this organization.
Lisa competed for six years within the Miss America Organization system, including time in both West Virginia and Virginia, where she earned multiple Top 10 placements, three Top 5 finishes, and the honor of First Runner-Up.
She was also recognized with the Miss America Community Service Award for her dedication to making a meaningful impact beyond the stage.
Lisa later earned the title of Mrs. Virginia United States 2008, placing 4th Runner-Up at Mrs. United States.
Beyond pageantry, her passion for service led her to work with the American Heart Association, helping raise over $3 million, lobbying Congress, and advancing awareness around heart disease prevention.
